- Introduction
This policy serves as a guide for employees who identify and refer qualified, exceptional, and talented individuals for recruitment within the organization.
- Scope:
- Policy applies only to those job postings designated as requiring “Referrals from Employees”.
- All employees can refer except for Functional Heads, Heads of Departments (HODs), and individuals directly engaged in the recruitment process or HR functions.
- Objectives:
- Attract top talent by leveraging employees’ networks.
- Recognize and reward employees for their contributions to our talent acquisition strategy.
- Enhance talent experience and reduce turnover rates by attracting culturally fit candidates.
- Referral Guidelines
- Open Positions Requiring Employee Referrals
- Employees can refer for specific vacancies eligible for referrals as highlighted.
- Collection of Referral Form (RF)
- Please fill the form duly and submit the profile/resume (that you feel match the requirement) only for those job openings that come under referrals.
- Submission of Referral Form (RF)
- Employees are responsible for submitting the resume after doing due diligence and not with the sole intention of winning referral money.
- The Referral Form and resumes shall be submitted to the HRBP/Recruitment Team, with all pertinent details of both the referral and the employee.
- Candidate Screening/Selection and Offer
- Candidates who successfully pass through the standard recruitment procedure, and meet the requirements are offered employment. They will be considered as successful referrals.
- Eligibility for Reward
- Employees will be eligible for a reward of N 150,000 (one-off payment) per referral (not to exceed 3 such referrals in a year from an employee) upon the successful completion of six months by the referred candidates in the business.
- To receive the reward, employees must be active in the system when the referral is hired and when he/she completes six months.
- Exclusions from Referrals
- Duplicate resumes by different employees
- No Self-Referrals
- Former employees who have left the company.
- Resumes already existing in the company's database.
- Candidates who have responded to the company's requirements within the past year through advertisements, recruitment agencies, or independently.
- Referrals of relatives
- Confidentiality & Ethics
- Employees must adhere to confidentiality and ethical standards when making referrals.
- Referrals should be made in good faith, without conflicts of interest or bias.
- Misuse or abuse of the referral program will result in disqualification from receiving rewards and may lead to disciplinary action not limited to dismissal of service.
- Policy Review
This referral policy is subject to periodic review and updates by management to ensure its efficacy and consistency with organizational objectives and principles. Management reserves the right to alter or modify this policy at any time as deemed necessary. This policy is rolled out on a trial basis and is subject to withdrawn in case of any abuse.
